This privacy policy applies to the CalScan app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by MimiPig (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as:

• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
• The time spent on the Application
• The operating system you use on your mobile device

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to age, gender, height, and weight. The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

To provide core functionalities of the Application, such as calorie tracking, exercise logging, and health analysis, we need to access and process your health data. We only access and use this data with your explicit consent. The specific types of health data we access and our purposes for doing so are outlined below:

• Steps: We read your step count to calculate calories burned from walking and daily activity levels. This data is used to display your progress and contribute to your overall energy expenditure calculation.
• Active Calories Burned: We access this data to understand the calories you've burned through physical activities. This is a key component for providing you with an accurate overview of your daily calorie balance.
• Exercise: We read your exercise history to incorporate it into your daily activity log and calorie calculations. We also allow you to log new exercises directly within the Application, which will be written to your health data store for a comprehensive view of your fitness activities.
• Distance: We read the distance you've covered during activities to help calculate calorie expenditure more accurately. You can also manually input or edit distance data for your workouts.
• Total Calories Burned: We access and allow you to write your total daily calories burned to provide a complete picture of your energy balance, combining your basal metabolic rate and activity-related calorie expenditure.
• Hydration: The Application allows you to track your water intake. This information is written to your health data to help you monitor your hydration goals.
• Nutrition: You can log your food intake within the Application. This nutritional information is written to your health data to help you track your diet and calorie consumption.

To provide you with accurate calculations and a seamless experience, certain health data is processed on your device and may also be securely transmitted to our servers. Specifically, data such as your step count, exercise details, and calorie information may be uploaded to our servers to perform complex calculations, such as determining your total energy expenditure. This also allows you to back up your data and access your history.

We are committed to protecting your health data. We will not use or share your health data for advertising, marketing, or any other purposes not explicitly stated in this policy. Access to this data is strictly limited to personnel who require it to operate, develop, or improve the Application.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You can also manage the health data permissions granted to the Application at any time through your device's settings.

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at calscan.support@mimipig.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. This includes encrypting data transmission to our servers and implementing strict access controls to your data on our systems. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
